Dr Hiren Patel is a distinguished Interventional Neuroradiologist with over a decade of dedicated consultant experience across premier multi-specialty healthcare institutions. He completed his medical degree (MBBS) at Government Medical College, Surat, followed by his DNB in Radiodiagnosis and a rigorous two-year institutional Fellowship in Interventional Neuroradiology at Seth G.S. Medical College & K.E.M. Hospital, Mumbai. Backed by valuable international exposure—including advanced neuro-interventional training under world-renowned experts at Alfried Krupp Hospital in Essen, Germany, and the MINI PLANET certification—Dr Patel provides patient-centred, evidence-based care tailored to address complex neurovascular conditions. In his clinical practice, Dr Patel provides a comprehensive spectrum of specialized endovascular options designed to manage acute and complex diseases of the central nervous system, brain, and spinal vasculature. His primary focus centres on hyper-acute stroke management and rapid-response procedures, including mechanical thrombectomy and venous sinus thrombolysis for Cerebral Venous Thrombosis (CVT). His procedural expertise encompasses advanced intracranial aneurysm treatments using simple coiling, balloon-assisted coiling, stent-assisted coiling, and complex flow diverters or intrasaccular devices. He is also highly proficient in carotid and intracranial stenting for atherosclerotic arterial stenosis, as well as precision endovascular embolization of brain AVMs, dural arteriovenous fistulas (DAVFs), carotid-cavernous fistulas (CCFs), and spinal vascular malformations. Additionally, Dr Patel performs expert embolization procedures for paediatric vascular anomalies, maxillo-facial malformations, and hypervascular skull-base tumours.
