Dr Shivam Gour is a distinguished neurosurgeon with over five years of dedicated experience in complex brain and spine surgery, independently performing approximately 30 advanced neurosurgical procedures every month. He completed his MBBS at NSCB Medical College, Jabalpur, followed by his MS in General Surgery from Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal, and his MCh in Neurosurgery from the prestigious IPGME&R and SSKM Hospital, Kolkata. Backed by valuable clinical exposure across premier tertiary institutions and corporate healthcare centres in Kolkata and Bhopal, as well as specialized training in endoscopic spine surgery and advanced neurosurgical techniques, Dr Gour provides patient-centred, evidence-based care tailored to address critical neurological conditions. In his clinical practice, Dr Gour provides a comprehensive spectrum of both surgical and critical care interventions designed to address complex cranial, spinal, and paediatric conditions. His cranial surgical expertise encompasses resections for brain tumours, gliomas, and meningiomas, alongside emergency craniotomies for neuro-trauma such as epidural hematomas (EDH), subdural hematomas (SDH), and depressed skull fractures. He is also highly proficient in complex spine procedures, including cervical corpectomies, cervical lateral mass screw fixations, dorsal and lumbar spine fixations, as well as transforaminal and bi-portal endoscopic spine surgeries. In paediatric and specialized neurosurgery, Dr Gour performs ventriculoperitoneal (VP) shunt insertions, external ventricular drain (EVD) placements, myelomeningocele (MMC) repairs, and neuro-endovascular interventions. On the critical care side, he provides dedicated leadership in Neuro-ICU management and inpatient care to facilitate early, safe stabilization and recovery.
