Dr P V Siddhartha is a highly accomplished, board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who brings over a decade of elite surgical expertise and academic distinction to his practice. He was awarded the prestigious Toppers’ Trophy by the President of India for standing first in his postgraduate medical examinations at the premier PGIMER and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in New Delhi, where he also completed an intensive three-year senior residency teaching and training position. Driven by a commitment to clinical excellence, he went on to complete an advanced clinical and research fellowship in knee and hip arthroplasty and arthroscopy at Chonnam National University Hospital in South Korea, where he gained valuable exposure to cutting-edge robotic and navigational surgical techniques. Now established in Bhopal, he balances high-volume clinical practice with academic leadership, serving as a Consultant and Associate Professor of Orthopaedics, and has previously headed specialized joint replacement and arthroscopic departments across several leading healthcare institutions.
In his clinical practice, Dr. Siddhartha provides an advanced and comprehensive spectrum of surgical interventions specializing in joint reconstruction, sports medicine, and complex trauma care. As a highly skilled arthroscopic surgeon, he routinely performs anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), posterior cruciate ligament (PCL), and multi-ligament reconstructions, alongside meniscal repairs, shoulder arthroscopies for Bankart and rotator cuff lesions, and specialized ankle arthroscopies. He is deeply expert in primary total knee and hip replacement surgeries, conventional revision arthroplasties, and employs specialized exposure to minimally invasive double-incision total hip arthroscopies and robotic-assisted total knee procedures. Dedicated to joint preservation, he administers joint-preserving osteotomies and sophisticated cartilage procedures including osteochondral autograft transfer systems (OATS) and autologous chondrocyte implantations (ACI), while maintaining extensive competence in treating complex fractures and administering basic spinal surgeries.
Dr Siddhartha’s foundational medical expertise is built upon a rigorous academic background and a prolific record of research publication. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, followed by a Master of Surgery (MS) in Orthopaedic Surgery from Indraprastha University at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, and subsequently achieved his Diplomate of National Board (DNB) credentials from the National Board of Examinations. He is certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and National Emergency Life Support. An active contributor to global orthopaedic science, Dr. Siddhartha has authored numerous peer-reviewed research publications in prestigious international journals covering biomechanical comparisons of fixation devices, minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis, paediatric fracture management, and spinal fixations, and has frequently presented his clinical findings at major national and international orthopaedic podiums.
