Dr. Pramod Sharma is a distinguished Senior Consultant in Cranio-Maxillo-Facial Surgery and Oral Implantology, bringing over two decades of surgical leadership, academic excellence, and clinical precision to his practice. Renowned for his meticulous operative skill and deeply empathetic approach to patient care, Dr. Sharma provides comprehensive medical consultancy and advanced surgical interventions for complex facial deformities, acute trauma, and functional jaw disorders. His clinical practice encompasses a broad spectrum of advanced reconstructive, aesthetic, and functional maxillofacial procedures. He specializes in cleft and craniofacial reconstructive surgery, administering corrective treatments for cleft lip, cleft palate, and congenital Craniofacial anomalies, alongside comprehensive management of complex midface, mandibular, and orbital wall fractures. His expertise further extends to temporomandibular joint interventions for chronic ankylosis and internal derangements, the excision and reconstruction of maxillofacial pathologies and jaw lesions, advanced oral implantology protocols involving complex bone augmentations and sinus floor elevations, and restorative aesthetic procedures, including functional rhinoplasty, facial contouring, oculoplasty.
His clinical acumen is grounded in an exceptional academic background, having earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the Government College of Dentistry, Indore, and his Master of Dental Surgery in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery from the prestigious King George’s Medical College, Lucknow. Dr. Sharma further honed his specialized skills through a Fellowship in Cleft & Craniofacial Surgery at Sri Ramachandra Medical College, Chennai, a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Oral Implantology, and advanced observerships in rhinoplasty at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi and Akash Hospital in Indore, as well as orbital and oculoplastic surgical training at the renowned LV Prasad Eye Hospital in Hyderabad. Alongside his surgical practice, Dr. Sharma has dedicated nearly two decades to medical education and institutional leadership, serving as Professor in the Department of Dentistry at Chirayu Medical College, Bhopal, following earlier professorial and senior faculty appointments across Bhabha Dental College, Mansarovar Dental College, and People’s College of Dental Sciences.
Beyond the operating theatre and lecture hall, Dr. Sharma is a steadfast advocate for healthcare equity and accessible specialized surgery. As the former Project Director of the Bhopal Cleft Centre at Chirayu Medical College, he led major humanitarian initiatives supported by Deutsche Cleft Kinderhilfe and ABMSS, administering life-changing corrective surgeries free of cost to underserved children with cleft and craniofacial conditions, while also participating in international missions such as the 2013 Cleft Surgery Mission in Myanmar.
