Dr. Kshitij Mavade
Dr Kshitij Mavade is a distinguished, board-certified Interventional Cardiologist who brings over a decade of elite clinical expertise and academic distinction to his practice. Driven by a commitment to clinical excellence, he completed his super-specialty training in Cardiology at the premier Government Medical College, Kozhikode, in Kerala, where he also served as an Assistant Professor, training the next generation of cardiologists. Now established in Bhopal, he balances high-volume clinical practice with academic leadership, having served as a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist across several leading healthcare institutions, including National Hospital and Bansal Hospital.
In his clinical practice, Dr Mavade provides an advanced and comprehensive spectrum of cardiovascular interventions specializing in invasive coronary procedures, non-invasive cardiac diagnostics, structural heart disease management, and preventive cardiology. As a highly skilled interventional cardiologist, he routinely performs transradial and transfemoral coronary angiography, elective Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), and complex coronary procedures, prioritizing radial-access approaches to lower procedural complications and accelerate patient recovery. He is deeply expert in device therapy, independently performing permanent pacemaker implantations while providing specialized assistance in Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy (CRT), Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator (ICD) implantations, and structural heart procedures including ASD, VSD, and PDA device closures, alongside Balloon Mitral Valvotomy (BMV). Dedicated to comprehensive non-invasive diagnostics, he administers Transthoracic (TTE), Transesophageal (TOE), 3D, Stress, and Congenital Echocardiography, alongside Treadmill Testing (TMT) and Holter Monitoring, while providing customized management plans for systemic hypertension, chronic heart failure, and risk-factor modification.
Dr Mavade’s foundational medical expertise is built upon a rigorous academic background and a prolific record of clinical research. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal, followed by a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in General Medicine from NSCB Medical College, Jabalpur, and subsequently achieved his Doctor of Medicine (DM) in Cardiology from Government Medical College, Kozhikode. An active contributor to cardiovascular science and academic forums, Dr Mavade has conducted key research studies on left ventricular diastolic function in hypertension and predictors of radial artery spasm during transradial catheterization and has earned competitive distinctions including joint winner of the Kerala Heart Rhythm Society Cardiology Quiz and top honours for case presentations at the Academy of Echocardiography. Beyond procedural interventions, he maintains a strong commitment to community-focused cardiovascular wellness, empowering patients through education on early diagnostic screening, lifestyle modification, and long-term heart disease prevention.
