Dr. Satyam Agarwal
Dr Satyam Agarwal is an award-winning Interventional Pulmonologist who brings specialized expertise in advanced airway interventions, complex pleural procedures, and severe respiratory care to his clinical practice. Recognized for combining high-precision clinical work with a deeply human approach, he completed his fellowship training in Interventional Pulmonology at Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University in Bangkok, Thailand, alongside completing the Basic Course in Biomedical Research from the ICMR-National Institute of Epidemiology. Driven by a dedication to clinical excellence, Dr Agarwal has earned competitive accolades for his surgical video presentations and research at major medical forums, including securing First Prize in Interventional Pulmonology at PACS 2023 for complex tracheal airway management and Second Prize at PACS 2024 for innovative minimally invasive pleural foreign body retrieval. He balances advanced inpatient, outpatient, and intensive care management with academic contributions, actively publishing research findings in international peer-reviewed journals and maintaining active memberships in prestigious global and national bodies including the World Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology and the European Respiratory Society.
In his clinical practice, Dr Agarwal provides a comprehensive spectrum of minimal-access interventional and pulmonary therapies designed to improve patient outcomes and accelerate recovery. As a skilled interventional pulmonologist, he routinely performs flexible and rigid bronchoscopies, airway debulking, airway stenting, and cryo-procedures, alongside advanced diagnostic procedures including Linear and Radial Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS), Transbronchial Lung Biopsy (TBLB), and Transbronchial Needle Aspiration (TBNA). He is deeply expert in complex pleural interventions, including semi-rigid thoracoscopy, ICD placement, thoracocentesis, pleurodesis, and thoracic ultrasound-guided procedures. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and completed his internship at the Northeastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) in Shillong, followed by a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Pulmonary Medicine from Government Medical College (NMCH) in Kota, Rajasthan. Beyond his primary hospital responsibilities, he advocates strongly for preventive healthcare, spearheading community educational initiatives such as the Bronchial Asthma School course and awareness programs on Tuberculosis, Post-COVID lung recovery, and ILD.
